FAERPORT is a formalised joint venture, formed in 2010 in order to unite relevant consulting resources with the aim of matching complicated tasks. This has up to now resulted in three major contracts: A new terminal for Vágar Airport, an extension to Landssjúkrahúsið (central hospital Tórshavn), and a new power house for SEV (electricity company). The gross capital expenditure for these projects exceeds 250 mill.US $.

The four participants have during decades achieved experience in a wide range of projects. These projects have included building for housing, transportation, technical facilities, health, culture, administration, education etc. The team has completed projects for water supply, energy conservation, power plants, tunnel and road construction. Experience covers inspection of buildings and constructions, and maintenance schemes. Furthermore, the team possesses experience from Greenland including Thule and the subartic area both as firms and as individuals.

Our practices operate in an area of limited extension, with great challenges from logistics and supply of building materials, harsh climate conditions and complicated topography.

We believe that these qualifications can be of benefit in this particular scheme. We also expect that our services apart from being comprehensive, will be cost-effective.
